Everton’s sale is a redemption but is there really light at the end of the tunnel?

A unwanted ownership was becoming an unsolved problem for Everton's fans. Such a big problem, they were probably more interested in Moshiri  leaving than who would succeed him. An American company, 777 Partners is now in the Premier League, with an unimpressive football past. Is the organization "redeemed" by the sale? Maybe. But when we say "redemption," what exactly do we mean?

Everton’s sale is a redemption but is there really light at the end of the tunnel?

Let's start from the basics. Nobody can argue that when Moshiri became Everton's big man from 2016 onwards, he wasn't a man who received the best welcome at Goodison Park.

There was excitement, which is perfectly reasonable. At his start in the "sweets" after all, if we don't forget that Moshiri chose to spend on Everton, more than almost every club in the Premier League.

In total, he has spent 755 million in transfers, buying 73 players, but if we do the so-called "treasury", seven years later, we find that he may have created a team, which as a whole is worse than the one he bought...

So, while the Everton crowd may have a lot to complain about with the club's previous strongman, no one can blame him for not making any signings. He made moves, wrong or right, but his main problem seemed to be the coaching changes. He made eight changes, never won anything and in recent years has seen his team go from bad to worse.

The most emphatic case of a transfer that didn't work out is undoubtedly Klaassen. He bought him as the captain of Ajax and a star of the Dutch national team, and coming to "Goodison Park" he was a "shadow" of himself. One cannot blame Moshiri for this. As for the fact that Carlo Ancelotti preferred to leave Everton and the Premier League for Real Madrid, he just realized that Spain is calling him back.

So, the truth is somewhere in the middle. Moshiri had the will, he lacked the luck and the know-how, with the result that he was never able to get his team up a level.

The time has come for the club to change the page and the arrival of 777 Partners in the Premier League is a fact. The reason for a company of Americans, whose past has proven that they have investment tendencies, however, their moves cannot be described as successful.

777 Football Group has also been involved in Genoa (100%), Vasco da Gama (70%), Hertha Berlin (64.7%), Standard Liège (100%), Red Star in France (100%), Sevilla (7 .5%) and Melbourne Victory (70%)! Which of them has taken the step above? None, with the possible exception of Sevilla and their successful background in the Europa League. However, the Spanish are also the only group in which the said American company has a single-digit ownership percentage!

Unfortunately, and I say this sincerely for the toffees i feel there is a long and winding road ahead. Everton has a long  history, being the only one with so many seasons in the big division, having missed only on four occasions from 1888 until today, and  being one of the  founding members of  English League, and the fact of new owners and a brand -new stadium in the near future should bring joy! But honestly I see no light agbthe end of the tunnel.

I wish I am  wrong, but I think the sale is basically... redemption to appease the people , but real redemption, as envisioned by the fans it’s a completely different story!
