Το αγγλικό ποδόσφαιρο συνεχίζει να εναντιώνεται στην ESL, με την ανεξάρτητη Επιτροπή Πολιτισμού, Media και Αθλητισμού στην Αγγλία ν’ αντιδρά στα όσα συμβαίνουν από το πρωί και να ξεκαθαρίζει ότι τα κλαμπ ποδοσφαίρου της χώρας δεν θα επιχειρήσουν συμμετοχή σε άλλες διοργανώσεις.
Μπορεί ο Φλορεντίνο Πέρεθ να κάνει ακόμα σχέδια για το πρότζεκτ της European Super League, μπορεί να χαμογέλασε στο άκουσμα της ήττας των FIFA και UEFA, όμως, το «ναυάγιο» στο εγχείρημα είχε προκληθεί περισσότερο λόγω των αντιδράσεων των οπαδών και των πιο… ρομαντικών ανθρώπων του ποδοσφαίρου.

Το ευρωπαϊκό δικαστήριο αποφάσισε ότι οι κινήσεις με τις οποίες οι FIFA και UEFA προσπάθησαν να εξουδετερώσουν τη δημιουργία της European Super League με τις απειλές για τον αποκλεισμό των ποδοσφαιρικών συλλόγων από τις διοργανώσεις τους, ήταν παράνομες! Δεν αποκλείεται επαναφορά του πρότζεκτ στην επιφάνεια!
